🌸 Orchid Care Guide

🌸 Orchid Care Guide – Keeping Your Orchid Thriving! 🌸

At Flowery, we want to ensure your orchids stay beautiful and healthy for as long as possible. Follow these expert care tips to keep your Orchid in its best condition!

💡 Light: Indirect, Gentle Sunlight

  • Place your orchid in moderate, indirect light (near an east or north-facing window is ideal).
  • Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves. If your orchid gets too little light, it may not bloom.

💧 Water: Less Is More!

  • Water every 7–14 days, depending on humidity. Always check the roots – they should be green, not dry.
  • Use room temperature water in the morning for best absorption.
  • Avoid overwatering – ensure proper drainage to prevent root rot. A well-draining orchid pot is key!

🌡️ Temperature & Humidity: Keep It Cozy

  • Ideal temperatures:
    • Day: 70°–90°F
    • Night: 60°–70°F
  • Orchids love humidity! Maintain around 50–70% humidity by using a humidity tray or light misting.

🌱 Fertilizing: Feed for Flowers

  • Use an orchid-specific fertilizer 1–2 times per month (diluted to half strength).
  • Reduce feeding in winter when the orchid is resting.

🌼 Blooming & Re-Blooming Tips

  • After blooming, trim the flower spike just above the second node to encourage reblooming.
  • If no new flowers appear, try moving your orchid to a slightly cooler spot (60°F at night) to trigger blooming.

🚫 Common Mistakes to Avoid

Overwatering – The #1 cause of orchid problems! Always check root moisture before watering.
Too much sun – Keep it bright but indirect.
Neglecting airflow – Good air circulation helps prevent disease.

💖 With the right care, your orchid can bloom for months and re-bloom year after year! If you have any questions, let Flowery know, and we'd love to help! 🌿✨
